DA Graduate Program
At DA, we're always looking for fresh talent which is why we established the DA Graduate Program.
The purpose of the program is to establish a talent pipeline for long term succession planning and/or to fulfil shorter term resourcing needs. By establishing clear development paths, our aim is to assist our graduates progress successfully into a professional career at DA.
Successful graduates are engaged under a two year fixed-term contract with the intake commencing annually in February. The number of graduates selected to participate in the program will be determined year-to-year, subject to business requirements at the time, though typically 1-2 graduates commence annually in each of our IT streams.
At DA the greatest need for graduate placements lie in the Technology and Delivery divisions of our business. Our graduates are selected based on their area of interest (i.e. software or hardware) and are invited to take part in a rotation placement program dedicated to that stream. Sometimes our graduates are ideally suited to work on specific projects and may bypass the rotation program entirely to transition into a specific job role. Flexibility and development are key factors to the success of our program.
We have a unique partnering arrangement with UniSA who assist us to source our high performing graduates each year, however we are also happy to consider ‘Expressions of Interest’ from eligible graduates who have studied at other Australian tertiary institutions. An ‘Expression of Interest’ ad seeking candidate applications will appear on our Careers Page when active recruitment commences each year. Graduate candidates must have permanent resident status.
DA Student Grant
The DA Student Grant is awarded to a qualifying final year IT student at UniSA each year. The grant was launched in 2014 primarily to assist the recipient with study expenses, but also to help promote our newly established Graduate Program across the University campus.
To be eligible for DA Grant, applying students must:
- be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident;
- provide a personal written statement addressing their career goals in the field of ICT and how the grant will benefit them in achieving their goals; and
- have an interest in the DA Graduate Program.
In an effort to keep our talented young people in South Australia, preference is given to students who plan to live and work in Adelaide after they complete their tertiary program.
