Additionally, being unique in the market as the only company in Australia offering hosted services in combination with our software solutions, we're able to deliver strategic, operational and cost efficiencies that could not be gained from sourcing the functions from two separate providers. Consequently, we gain a much deeper understanding of our clients resulting in our ability to provide the highest level of client engagement and collaboration. After all, clients are our main priority; without them, we have no purpose.



Data Action was set up as a co-operative in 1986 by five forward thinking South Australia credit unions with the vision of becoming the preferred technology partner of the customer-owned banking industry. Over the next decade, we expanded nationally and in 1997 we purchased the Phoenix Core Banking System.  In 2011 we purchased the intellectual property and selling rights for Phoenix in Australia and New Zealand and rebranded to DA Core Banking System. 

We've carried out over 80 conversions with a 100% success rate - that's pretty unique in our industry where consumers are quick to complain if their mobile or internet banking is not available.

Our client base now includes mutual banks, church investment funds and digital banks.  Through our clients, we are proud to be dealing with over 1 million banking customers and $33+ billion in client assets.  From  a small office in Adelaide, we've now grown to over 170 staff across Adelaide and Sydney, along with our network in Melbourne and Brisbane which enables us to service our clients across Australia.
