DA Client Conference, March 2017 - Creating Client Connections

This year's annual DA Client Conference, held on March 10th, brought together a number of delegates from our 28 client organisations with key members of DA staff to connect, share insights and collaborate.

The night prior, guests enjoyed a relaxed evening networking over food and drinks at Casablabla, a multicultural tapas bar nestled in a bustling laneway opposite DA’s offices. Enlivened from the enjoyable night, over 70 attendees gathered in the spacious rooms of the Adelaide Convention Centre for the one-day event, held exclusively for our clients. Making his debut as our MC, DA’s General Manager - Corporate Services, Andrew Mailler, kicked off proceedings by introducing a company update from our CEO, Karl Grant. Christine Antoniou then presented an always necessary security update informing clients of our Security Awareness Training Packages available later in the year.

We were pleased to be visited in the morning by DA’s Chair, Jane Jeffreys, who was able to meet a few new faces over coffee and pastries. After the break, DA’s General Manager – Technology, Alexei Fey, delved into our Roadmap discussing NPP integration and maintaining and evolving our Core Banking System before moving onto Data and CRM.

As we broke for lunch, attendees enjoyed the outside deck overlooking the city streets and the sunlit breakout area where real-time Yammer posts flashed across the TV screen. The afternoon recommenced with the CR workshop where clients were given the opportunity to pitch their ideas in a ‘shark tank’ style environment. This led into a Q&A session addressing questions from throughout the day. Special thanks to Erik Fenna from P&N Bank for leading the charge across the CR session.

Next, Ben Sheldrake and Stephen Miller ran the DA Lending Showcase to update clients on the progress of the project, including a demonstrative video of the range of tasks in a workflow. After a quick update on DA’s Data Centre Move, Alexei spoke about Crowd Funding and Development and introduced the CR portal which has just been launched this week.

The conference is instrumental in enhancing the collective value of the DA community, so we’d like to thank all our clients for being part of the day with us. We look forward to connecting again for the next Client Conference on August 31st and September 1st
