DA Client Conference 2017
DA held its annual two-day Client Conference on Thursday 31st August and Friday 1st of September at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Underpinning this year’s conference theme ‘Navigating the Perfect Storm’ DA leveraged its compass of Data, Mobile, Payments and Process to discuss our key strategic themes for the future.
The conference saw clients from over 20 organisations in attendance together with tiered sponsors. We were very pleased to have Telstra as Platinum Sponsor and enjoyed the interactive nature of their stand in the breakout area.
Industry keynote presentations included Jon Kaehne from Amazon Web Services who spoke to the benefits of adopting a cloud-first approach. KPMG’s Tim Aman (Partner Audit and Assurance Financial Services) discussed the promising Future of the Mutual Industry. Other Keynotes, Gus Balbontin (former CTO of Lonely Planet) provided some laughs while sharing his experiences facing digital disruption head on and the need to ‘Adapt’. Australian sporting legend John Bertrand closed the conference emphasising the importance of passion, teamwork, embracing change and evolving with the help of technology.
Andrew Mailler (General Manager Corporate Services) performed MC duties and lead attendees through two days of thought-provoking presentations from DA along with Telstra, Vectra, Cuscal, MessageMedia, Iocane, Fusion and Bizagi.
DA’s People Leaders including Karl Grant (Chief Executive Officer), Alexei Fey (Chief Technology Officer), Rob McKeon (Chief Operating Officer) and Katrina Slattery (General Manager Client Services) presented insights including DA’s Strategic Plan, our focus on Open Banking platforms (and the need for choice within the industry) and transforming the staff experience through software and process improvements.
